How does botulinum toxin help with excessive armpit sweating?
Botulinum toxin is an injectable medication known for its power to smooth wrinkles. But it’s also great for stopping armpit sweat. Reduces armpit humidity by around 85%. The dryness usually lasts between three and 12 months.
Body odor also decreases. The characteristic odor of sweaty armpits is produced by bacteria that grow in warm, humid places. It removes moisture and the smell disappears too.

How does botulinum toxin work for sweating?

You only need one office visit to complete the botulinum toxin treatment for armpit sweating. The procedure usually involves about 25 injections in each armpit. Each time, a small amount of botulinum toxin is injected just below the surface of the skin with an extremely small needle.
Some people don’t even feel the injections. They will only feel minimal discomfort similar to the snapping of a rubber band. You should see an improvement in sweating in about three to four days. The full moisture-removing effects occur in about two weeks and last approximately 1 and a half to 2 and a half years.
